Oregon Republican Party Congratulates Rob Cornilles
on Debate Victory
Cornilles only candidate in Congressional race with plan for job creation

Portland, OR The Oregon Republican Party, Oregon's Party, congratulates Rob Cornilles on his victory Sunday night in the first debate of the general election to fill the vacant First District Congressional seat.

Allen Alley, Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party, commented, “For voters in Oregon’s First District, the choice couldn’t be clearer. Rob will bring a fresh voice to Congress, not more of the same rhetoric from another lawyer-turned-career political insider who votes with her party 98% of the time.

“When he goes to Congress, Rob will ask, ‘Does this help or hinder the progress of the hard-working residents of Northwest Oregon?’ and he will stand by his principles,” Alley said.

“Rob is the only candidate in this Congressional race with a plan for job creation. He will work to reform the tax code so it's fairer, simpler and encourages hiring and he will get rid of loopholes carved out for the well connected.  Rob will protect Medicare choice for seniors and strengthen Social Security for future generations. He does not support privatization, period, for Medicare or Social Security.

“If you like the way Washington, D.C. is working, vote for Sen. Bonamici. She wants to raise taxes on an already broken system that rewards megacorporations, while sticking small business owners with the bill. And she wants to take choice away from seniors on Medicare, forcing them into a public option.

“It's time the First District had a representative who will put people before politics,” Alley added.
