NEW ORP AD “REFORMA” EXPOSES THE DANGERS OF GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE
Portland, Ore. – Today the Oregon Republican Party started airing a new TV ad in Oregon’s major markets that highlights the dramatic consequences of President Obama and Congressional Democrats’ proposed government-run Health Care Plan. The ad, entitled “Reforma,” can be viewed by clicking here: http://www.oregonrepublicanparty.org/node/125
“This ad will help shed some light on the facts and real dangers associated with a health care system run by the government,” said Oregon Republican Party Chairman Bob Tiernan. “We are entering this debate with “Reforma” to bring public attention to the obvious flaws and damaging consequences of the Obama health care plan.
The Oregon Republican Party ad appears as growing public concern about health care dominates the agendas of congressional town halls across the state and nation.
“The Democratic leadership in Washington, D.C. and Salem are out of touch with the economic reality most Oregonians face – this is no time for a health care experiment which replaces individual choice with expensive and invasive big government, swapping trusted personal physicians with red tape and bureaucrats,” Chairman Tiernan continued.
“During this August recess, President Obama and the Congressional Democrats have been campaigning across the state and country trying to sell their government-run health care scheme as the solution to America’s health care problems. This ad seeks to expose the truths that President Obama and Democrats like David Wu and Kurt Schrader aren’t telling you about the Democrats’ health care plan,” said Chairman Tiernan.
“Instead of looking for ways to create jobs and improve Oregon’s economy, Democrats like David Wu and Kurt Schrader are spending their August recesses trying to spin their massive, unpopular health care experiment. Oregonians need jobs, not higher taxes or health care costs. The Democrats’ experiment with America’s health care system is a risk that Oregon and America cannot afford,” Chairman Tiernan concluded.
