Tax Petitions available online -- DUE September 18th!

Here's how you can stop the Job Killing Taxes

Citizens across the state are hard at work gathering signatures to refer the two massive job-killing tax increases to the ballot and we are having a great response.  People are organized and fed up with the same old liberal tax-and-spend policies of the Democrats in Salem.

We have great news!  We now have online links directly to petition sheets that can be signed by one person.  This a great way to get the petitions to friends or family who can’t get a copy of the petition or to a place to sign them.

As you can imagine, there are several important rules to follow when signing this petition:

  1. Click here to read: Instructions for e-Petitions

  2. Click here to read the text of the first bill, HB 2649: Text for Personal Income Tax Increase Bill (#301 Text)

  3. Click here to print your individual petition to put the Personal Income Tax Increase on the Ballot: PRINT PETITION to put Personal Income Tax increase on ballot (#301 Petition)

  4. Click here to read the text of the second bill, HB 3405: Text for Corporate Tax Increase Bill (#302 Text)

  5. Click here to print your individual petition to put the Corporate Tax Increase Bill on the Ballot: PRINT PETITION to put Corporate Tax increase on ballot (#302 Petition)

  6. Please remember to print and sign BOTH of the tax petitions so they both get on the January ballot where we, the citizens, can defeat them!

Remember: Each voter must print and sign their own petition sheets—you cannot print extra petition sheets and circulate them.  You can copy and paste this Tax Petition link into an email to your friends and family so they can read it and print it themselves, but do not print the attached petitions for anyone other than yourself.

When you have printed and signed the petitions, please return them immediately to:

  Oregon Republican Party
  Attn:  E-Petition Returns
  P.O. Box 25406
  Portland, OR 97298

These petitions are due by September 18th! Please plan accordingly to mail them, drop them off at our office, or deliver them to a drop-site in your area by September 18th.

Please call the ORP office if you have any questions at 503-595-8881.  This is a great way to reach people who cannot make it to a signature gathering event or live in rural areas, so please pass this Tax Petition link on.

Click Take Action to find out how else you can get involved!

Information about the Gas Tax Referendum

The Oregon Republican Party has not officially endorsed the campaign to refer the gas tax and registration and title fee increases passed by the 2009 Oregon Legislature. However, because we know that this is a topic of great interest to many Oregonians, here is a link to learn more and download a petition: www.stopgastax.com
