RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Response to President Obama’s Comments on Venezuela
WASHINGTON - Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following response to President Obama's comments on Venezuela:
"President Obama's comments about Hugo Chavez reveal just how out of touch he is when it comes to our national security. This once again proves that President Obama's foreign policy priorities are simply out of place," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.
"Instead of focusing on strengthening our relationship with allies, he seeks to downplay the very real threats posed to U.S. national security. Leaders like Hugo Chavez are openly anti-American, and willing to spread their sentiments throughout the Western Hemisphere. We need a president who will stand up to the threats posed to the United States and defend human rights and freedoms."

RNC Releases: “Barack Obama, Outsourcer-in-Chief”
WASHINGTON - The Republican National Committee is out with a new web video "Barack Obama, Outsourcer-in-Chief" which sheds light on President Obama's record of outsourcing taxpayer dollars to create jobs overseas. President Obama promised that the stimulus would create jobs here in America, but instead American taxpayers paid for job creation abroad. Even though his outsourcing attacks on Governor Romney's business experience have been debunked repeatedly, he continues to peddle lies because he's trying to cover up his clear record as Outsourcer-in-Chief.

"President Obama has promised over and over that he would focus on creating 'jobs that pay well and can't be outsourced' but his record speaks otherwise," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. "Through his 'stimulus' program billions of dollars from hard-working taxpayers were sent overseas.
"The Outsourcer-in-Chief is going around the country touting his middle class 'jobs record,' but the only positive record he has is creating middle class jobs in faraway places like Finland and South Korea. To cover up his record of sending American dollars to fund diesel engines in Thailand and build wind turbines in Italy, President Obama has resorted to vicious distortions of Governor Romney's business experience that have been repeatedly debunked by independent fact-checkers."

ICYMI: RNC Chairman Weighs In On Obama’s Outsourcing Record And Tax Hike On Small Business
WASHINGTON-This morning, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus appeared on Fox & Friends to discuss Barack Obama's record of outsourcing American jobs to countries abroad and the Obama tax hike on 840,000 small businesses. Chairman Priebus will hold a press conference today in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to further highlight Barack Obama's failed record as the 'Outsourcer-in-Chief.' Highlights below:

CHAIRMAN PRIEBUS: "I'm heading off to Iowa to talk about Barack Obama's record and outsourcing jobs that should be going to middle class families in Iowa and places like Ohio and Wisconsin. But I'm going to Iowa today to talk about that and certainly, if this comes up as well this first topic on raising taxes again in America, it's a just a bad idea. It's a bad idea because 840,000 small businesses are going to have to pay more money under Barack Obama's plan now, at a time that they can't afford it. So, there's more to this than this divisive rich vs. poor game that the president wants to play. This is about raising taxes on small businesses and that's why a lot of Democrats don't agree with the president either. And let's face it, he knows exactly what's going on. He knows this isn't going to pass and he also knows that this is going to cut off 1% of the gross domestic product in this country when we're only growing at 1.6%. He's a smart guy. He knows this is all a sham and we need to call it on him."

Chairman Priebus: “Obama Shipped the Recovery Overseas”
Excerpts from the Huffington Post
By: Chairman Reince Priebus
July 10, 2012
"What do Finnish cars, Mexican solar panels, and Danish windmills have in common? They were all funded by your tax dollars.
"Thanks to President Obama, taxpayer money, mostly in the form of stimulus funds, ended up in the hands of companies overseas...
"How did this happen? Consider the example of Fisker Automotive. The company received $500 million in loan guarantees from the U.S. government to produce electric cars. Then they took their money and decided to produce their $100,000 electric sports cars in Finland.
"President Obama's policies may be spurring job creation in Scandinavia. But here at home, twenty-three million Americans are struggling for work. Millions of middle class families can barely make ends meet...
"Over the last four years, President Obama has repeated his promise to create "jobs that pay well and can't be outsourced." Chalk that up as yet another broken promise.
"Because of the president's dismal record and his campaign's desperation to change the subject, they have lately attacked Gov. Romney on false charges of outsourcing. Independent fact checkers have determined Obama's claims are blatantly false. The Obama campaign knows this, but they continue the attacks anyway. That's how desperate they are to hide their broken promises, including their record on outsourcing...
"This blatant hypocrisy has become the trademark of the Obama campaign. They complain about negative ads while running the most negative campaign in history. They resort to hype and blame after being elected promising hope and change..."

RNC Launches “ObamanomicsOutsourced.com”
WASHINGTON - The Republican National Committee launches ObamanomicsOutsourced.com chronicling President Obama's 'sterling' record of shipping the American recovery overseas. President Obama is on the campaign trail touting his work to create American jobs but his record says otherwise: taxpayer dollars to create jobs around the world.

New RNC Infographic: “Failed Policies, False Attacks”
WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee (RNC) released a new infographic “Failed Promises, False Attacks” highlighting Barack Obama’s plan to rely on false attacks because he can’t run on his own record. June unemployment figures marked the 41st straight month of unemployment above 8% and the worst quarter of job creation in two years. Instead of talking about his plan to create jobs and grow the economy, the president is relying on divisive and false attacks on outsourcing that have repeatedly been discredited by independent fact checkers.
View the graphic at: http://www.gop.com/images/falseattacks.jpg
“The June jobs report once again fell short of expectations giving Americans further proof that Barack Obama does not know how to get Americans working again. He continues to fail the middle class and rather than providing pro-growth economic solutions he repeatedly resorts to desperate and dishonest attacks against Governor Romney and his record of job creation,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “The miserable jobs report confirms that President Obama’s policies have impeded the recovery, stifled job creation, and hurt America’s middle class.
“The truth is that the private sector is not ‘doing fine’ and the American people deserve a president who will work to create jobs and not rely on Big Government to solve problems. It is time to fire President Obama and send Governor Romney to the White House this November.”

ICYMI: RNC Chairman Reince Priebus On Fox News Sunday
"Fire Barack Obama and hire Mitt Romney. That's the best stimulus."
WASHINGTON D.C. - This morning on Fox News Sunday, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus discussed the disappointing jobs numbers and Obama's record of outsourcing with taxpayer dollars. Highlights:
On Disappointing June Jobs Report:
RNC CHAIRMAN PRIEBUS: "The fact of the matter is, there are almost half a million more people unemployed today than four years ago. And if Debbie and President Obama were good on their promises on the stimulus, remember they said if we pass this trillion dollar stimulus that we'd have 5.5 percent unemployment today. What that means is, if they kept their promises, there would be 8.5 million more people employed today than there would be four years ago. The fact of the matter is this president can't fulfill a promise, they are living in fantasy land and we're going to put this dream to an end of theirs in November, save America, fire Barack Obama and hire Mitt Romney. That's the best stimulus plan for this country right now John."

On Obama Outsourcing Taxpayer Dollars:
PRIEBUS: "And as far as outsourcing goes. What about Fisker? And what I'm talking about is Barack Obama using taxpayer money, sending millions of dollars overseas to companies that are not giving a single job to any American in this country. I mean as far as outsourcing goes, the bigger crime is taking taxpayer money by millions and millions of dollars, sending them overseas and then those companies file for bankruptcy. That is Barack Obama's legacy. Mitt Romney's legacy is success in business, making promises and keeping promises and that is something this president would only dream of being able to campaign on through November."

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Statement on the June Unemployment Report
WASHINGTON - Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement on the June unemployment report:
"Once again, the monthly jobs report brings devastating news for the millions of Americans looking for work. The Obama economy is defined by chronically high unemployment. Our country is coming out of the worst quarter of job creation in two years. ObamaCare and President Obama's other policies simply are not working and disappointed Americans are ready for a new direction," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.
"After taking office, President Obama promised he would fix the economy in three years or face a 'one-term proposition.' While the president believes 'the private sector is doing fine,' the rest of the country knows we are not 'doing fine' at all. We cannot afford another term of this president because we cannot endure four more years of painfully high joblessness.
"Gov. Mitt Romney is uniquely qualified to provide the leadership our economy needs. With his successful record in business, at the Olympics, and in Massachusetts, he has a proven track record. It's time to accept President Obama's offer of a 'one-term proposition,' send Mitt Romney to the White House, and finally get America working again."

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day Independence Day Message
WASHINGTON - Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day released the following Independence Day message:
"On this day two-hundred and thirty-six years ago, our nation bravely declared its independence, asserting our unalienable rights to 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,'" said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. "Today, we celebrate that bold declaration and express our gratitude for all the blessings of our God-given freedoms.
"Amid the picnics, parades, and fireworks, we must also remember those who are at this moment defending our freedoms abroad. These selfless men and women especially deserve our thoughts and prayers today, for they are fighting for the very ideals we celebrate."
"The Fourth of July encourages us to reflect on our nation's history, both our triumphs and our trials," said RNC Co-Chairman Sharon Day. "The last few years have been extraordinarily difficult for millions of American families, but America's story is one of overcoming challenges. We can and will prevail, and move toward a more prosperous future.
"We wish everyone a Happy Independence Day. In the words of Katharine Lee Bates' great patriotic hymn, may 'God shed his grace on thee,' America! And may He always richly bless this land we love and this country we cherish."

RNC Releases: “Obama-Biden Hypocrisy on Debt”
WASHINGTON - The Republican National Committee releases "Obama-Biden Hypocrisy on Debt" a reminder of the Obama/Biden "promise gap" when it comes to spending. In 2008, when Joe Biden visited Maumee, Ohio, he was puzzled about the size of the national debt. Today, when Barack Obama goes to the very town where Biden once asked 'Who are these guys?' the president can tell them it was under their administration that America had three consecutive trillion dollar deficits and added over $5 trillion to the national debt.
Web video can be viewed here.
Download the web video here.
"There is a Grand Canyon size 'promise gap' between what Vice President Biden said about spending the last time he was in Maumee, Ohio and what he and President Obama have actually done in office," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. "America needs Governor Romney who has a record of turning deficits into surpluses and knows what it means to make a payroll. We need to send him to Washington to get our spending under control and country back on track."

RNC Releases Web Video: “Unpatriotic Debt”
WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee releases a new web video “Unpatriotic Debt” highlighting Barack Obama’s “promise gap” on lowering the debt and deficit. Four years ago today at a campaign event, Candidate Obama said that adding $4 trillion to the debt was ‘irresponsible’ and ‘unpatriotic.’ During his three years in office the ‘undisputed debt king’ has added over $5 trillion to the national debt and has racked up the largest deficits in U.S. history.
Web video can be viewed here.
Download the web video here.
“President Obama has done nothing to offer solutions or make the tough choices to correct America’s major economic problems. Instead, he has only sent the country on an unsustainable path by adding to the national debt and producing four budgets with deficits in excess of $1 trillion. We simply cannot afford four more years of the promise gap of his first term,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “This November, voters will hear his past promises to America and see that he can hardly call his actions of Big Government spending as patriotic.
“Governor Romney knows what it takes to balance a budget and control government spending. As president, he will provide America with the leadership and fiscal responsibility that will fix America’s debt and deficit problem and put the country back on the right path.”

RNC Releases “Just Another Broken Promise”
WASHINGTON - Following the Supreme Court's decision to uphold ObamaCare the Republican National Committee (RNC) releases "Just Another Broken Promise" a new web video highlighting another broken promise from President Obama. In 2009, Barack Obama said that his "signature piece of legislation" was "absolutely not a tax." Thursday's Supreme Court decision upheld the individual mandate as a tax, yet another broken promise of the Obama administration.
Web video can be viewed here.
"In 2008, Candidate Obama promised middle class American families that they wouldn't see their taxes go up under his administration, yet his signature legislation did just that," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.
"ObamaCare continues to be bad policy as health care costs are increasing, placing a large burden on job creators. Big Government is not the answer to health care reform and Americans know that new leadership is needed in the White House. As president, Mitt Romney will provide the real leadership needed to repeal ObamaCare and provide true health care reform."

ICYMI: Highlights From RNC Conference Call on the Supreme Court’s Decision to Uphold ObamaCare
Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell:
"This has been a tough 24 hours in Virginia for President Obama this is a swing state and now with his decision to not permit Virginia to drill off our coast yesterday and now this bureaucratic, unfunded mandate on Virginia's citizens that was upheld yesterday. There are major policies now not being appreciated and supported by the people of Virginia. So while the court has filed for a ruling that determined is a lawful exercise of Congressional power under the tax and spend clause. The court of course makes no opinion on whether or not it's good policy or not and that goes into the political calculation and that will be the decisions of the people of the United States will have over the next 125 days or so.
"So to replace ObamaCare, you've got to replace Obama. This president now has presided over the largest expansion of federal power in modern American history. His record is abysmal on the things that people really care about. 40 months plus over 8% unemployment the worst stretch in modern American history. The largest increase in deficits over a trillion dollars a year in debt, $16 trillion and growing astronomically. Unfunded mandates of dramatic proportions on the state to $2.2 billion dollars of unfunded mandate on Virginia for ObamaCare for the next ten years, hostility to energy development. This is a dismal record.
"The president continues to blame other people for the problems of this country and while he's spent the last couple of years on ObamaCare and other things. He has spent no time on the most critical issues that face Americans right now and that is creating jobs and opportunity and that is why he needs to be replaced.
"This bill now that has been upheld yesterday in our view in Virginia also represents one of the largest tax increases on the American middle class that we have ever seen. The irony in this case is that the president strenuously objected in 2009 that the contention that this ObamaCare health policy was a tax. He insisted it was a penalty, only late in the litigations does the Justice Department say 'well it might be a tax' and of course that's what the Supreme Court actually decided yesterday, that it was not an unlawful use of the Commerce Clause and the Necessary Proper Clause, it was in fact a proper use of the taxing power of the Congress so make no mistake about it, this is a whopping tax on the citizens of the United States that are already suffering from too few jobs, too high energy prices, too much crushing and immoral and unsustainable debt on their kids and their grandkids and now we have this tax.
"So, once again the policy is one that interferes with the relationship between the doctor and the patient, it completely turns federalism on its head by having a one-size-fits-all bureaucratic, cumbersome mandate from Washington, D.C. on all the states to force people to buy insurance and it's hurting the ability of small businesses to hire workers. I'm very concerned about what this involves with small business people of Virginia what this means to them and whether or not they are going to continue to supply health care insurance to their workers. To most of us here in Virginia, this is not good news and were going to do everything we can here in this swing state to help elect a new Senate and help elect a new president so in four months we can lay the foundation for ObamaCare to be repealed."
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal:
"As we get further away from this court decision, I think reality is going to dawn on people. We are going to be right back where we were on ObamaCare, even before these last few days. The American people did not want or approve of ObamaCare back then and they certainly don't now. Americans oppose it because it has been a decrease in the quality of our health care, it's going to raise our taxes, it's going to cut Medicare, it's going to break the bank. All of that is still true and in fact I expect that opposition to this bad law will escalate now after this ruling, because ObamaCare is unpopular and people are thinking about it and are focused on it. The decision was obviously a disappointment, I think it's a blow to our freedoms, I believe the Court should have protected our constitutional freedoms, but I think it's important to remember that it was the president who forced this law upon us working along with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. I was very disappointed in the ruling, but I do congratulate the Supreme Court on one thing, they were a lot more honest about ObamaCare than President Obama has been, they have rightly called it what it is - a tax, and as Bob said one of the largest tax increases on middle class families in our country's history. ObamaCare is yet another massive federal government entitlement program at a time when we can't even afford existing entitlement programs.
"You've heard a lot of people say, we are borrowing from our children's and grandchildren's futures. The reality is that it's even worse than that, we are destroying our present, not just our future. The court has declared that President Obama can use the federal government, to use its powers of taxation to compel behavior and that's one of the most frightening legal aspects of this decision. It really raises the question, what's next? What's allowable? Taxes on people that refuse to eat tofu or refuse to drive a Chevy Volt?...
"You know here's the big picture situation in our country today, success used to be measured by how many people we could get off of the government dole, now under President Obama we are measuring success by how many people we can get on the government programs. In the last five years going back to 2007, food stamp roles have increased... There used to be a stigma around relying on the government, now its celebrated. We have it one hundred percent backwards today in our country. We should be celebrating getting people off of food stamps, off of Medicaid, off of government health care as they get better paying jobs in the private sector.
"Unfortunately, I think this growing sense of dependence eats into the spirit of independence that makes America great in the first place. If we do not repeal this soon we are going to see more people riding in the cart than pulling the cart, and that's just not sustainable. Bottom line is that we need to note that elections have consciences, this is a reminder that elections do in fact matter. We got this awful law because the left wing won elections in 2006 and 2008 giving liberals full control of the House, the Senate, and the White House. This gave them the power to force the government takeover of health care that the public didn't even want. Not even on its best day has the public favored this law. If you are a small business owner or a middle class taxpayer and you are worried about what ObamaCare is going to do to the quality of your health care you really only have one recourse and that's to make President Obama a one term president, to elect Governor Romney come this November. Elections matter, this one matters a lot..."

RNC Statement on the House’s Vote to Hold Attorney General Holder in Contempt
WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement on the House of Representative’s vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt:
“Today’s vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt was a commonsense, bipartisan rebuke of an administration refusing to be honest with the American people,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.
“The failed Operation Fast and Furious was a tragedy, and Americans want answers. This administration, which touts itself as the most transparent in history, only seems to want to protect itself.
“The American people have had enough of such blatant hypocrisy from the Obama White House. They have failed to live up to their promises of openness and transparency, and voters will surely hold them accountable in November.”

RNC Releases “The Final Verdict” After Supreme Court’s Decision to Uphold ObamaCar
WASHINGTON - The Republican National Committee releases "The Final Verdict" following the Supreme Court's ruling to uphold ObamaCare. Despite the Supreme Court's ruling, the American people are deeply unhappy with President Obama's signature piece of legislation and will have the opportunity to vote Big Government health care down this November.

"Today's Supreme Court decision sets the stakes for the November election. Now, the only way to save the country from ObamaCare's budget-busting government takeover of health care is to elect a new president," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.
"Under President Obama's signature legislation, health care costs continue to skyrocket, and up to 20 million Americans could lose their employer-based coverage. A panel of unelected bureaucrats now has the unprecedented authority to come between elderly patients and their doctors. Meanwhile, the rules and regulations placed on job creators and small businesses make it nearly impossible to hire new workers at a time when Americans desperately need jobs.
"We need market-based solutions that give patients more choice, not less. The answer to rising health care costs is not, and will never be, Big Government.
"We must elect a president who understands the economy, respects free enterprise, and can provide the leadership we now so desperately need. On Election Day, we must elect Mitt Romney and put America on the path toward a brighter economic future and successful health care reform."
